John Aram is a British born trombonist, composer, band leader and educator, based in Geneva, Switzerland. He is currently working with PHIL COLLINS on his latest album « Going Back ». This has been a long and exciting project and we are looking forward to the upcoming release on Atlantic Records in September 2010. Have a look on YouTube.
John has a new disc due out in 2010 with his quintet featuring the great « Kenny Wheeler ».
« Saturday night and sunday morning » is based on the book and film by Alan Sillitoe and is an imaginary jazz soundtrack to the book/film composed by John. The film came out 50 years ago. Alan Sillitoe has been a big supporter of the project and his death at the age of 82 announced on 25th April is sad news to all of us involved in this project. (Reuters article) We look forward to doing some tributes to Alan in the near future.
John regularly works with great musicians such as Tim Garland, Kenny Wheeler, Jason Rebello, Guy Barker, Graeme Blevins, Andy Scherrer, Colin Vallon, Josh Roseman and many more. Booking
